Course objectives
Learning outcomes of the course unit The aim of the subject is to introduce a specific method of active learning, technology and strategy, built into a interconnected system directly applicable in the teaching of history. Students will actively work with various types of written texts (e.g. sources, professional literature, textbooks for primary and secondary schools). Their task will be to find out how a specific historical event can be interpreted on the basis of working with the text and how this procedure can be used in the teaching of history.
Learning outcomes
The student is able to develop the skills of reading, writing, discussing, arguing while studying the field and teaching of history.
Syllabus
  • Methods developing skills to read, write, discuss, argue. A three-phase learning model as a framework for active learning. Bloom's taxonomy of educational goals. Recognition - question, use of descriptive language. Methods applicable in humanities and science subjects.
