Course objectives
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the basic principles of modern archiving in the context of its development.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student will be able to: - explain the importance and tasks of archives - identify types of records and archive files - specify the principles of the selection procedure of archival materials and their registration - to get acquainted with the structure of the archive network of the Czech Republic - identify the basic features of electronic archival processing

  • 1. archive and position of archives between memory institutions 2. definition of archival material and types of archive files 3. selection of archives, its criteria and variants 4. basic organizing principles and their historical development 5. archival records 6. principles of electronic processing and digitization of archives 7. archival legislation 8. structure of archives in the Czech Republic
