Course objectives
The aim of the course is to gain knowledge of the services of the Internet to the extent provided in the Syllabus of subjects (see below)
Syllabus
  • Characteristic of the network based on TCP / IP protocols, stratified model of ISO / OSI, a set of configuration protocol TCP / IP, IP address, fully qualified domain name, DNS. Internet as a vast network based on TCP / IP. Basic protocols family TCP / IP. The difference between the Internet and intranets, the router (router), network components. Ways to connect your computer or network to the Internet. The basic network hardware and software for fixed and switched connection, the response of remote machines and trace network. Electronic post office, clients, servers. SMTP and POP3 and IMAP server. E-mail address and URL. Working with e-mail message. Directory of e-mail addresses, rozesílací list, Annex (attachments) to the reports, types of attachments. Coding Annex, BinHex, Uuencode and MIME. Automatic signature, filter messages and alerts to incoming mail. Electronic mailing list. Adverse treatment of post sanctions providers. Interactive communication on the Internet, online interviews, services Finger, Talk, ICQa IRC. Videoconferencing, the technical requirements for a computer network. Video applications, the use of videoconferencing in education. Remote terminal, Telnet, and Secure Shell (SSH). Transferring files at a distance, types of service FTP client FTP. World Wide Web, hypertext and Hypermedia. Information on the Web, commerce and advertising. Multimedia web application, external and internal application for processing multimedia information on the Web. Dynamic elements on the page, skripting client-side (Java Script, Visual Basic Script) skripting server-side (Active Server Pages - ASP, Professional Home Pages - PHP and CGI technology. WebBot Components and Microsoft Front Page enlargement servers), setting browsers. Web pages for the Disabled. Search for information provision and presentation of information. Web hosting. Computer security, software piracy and the protection against him. Internet crime and punishment. Protection of writing secrets encryption. Protection against the spread of viruses on the Internet. Firewall and its functions. Recommendations for work on the Internet.
