Course objectives
At the end of this course the student will be able to: understand and explain the issue of political processes in the founding period of communist Czechoslovakia, thus the cause, course and outcome.
Syllabus
  • Basic concepts.
  • Historical Introduction.
  • Political processes in other so-called people's democracies and the Soviet Union.
  • Laws and legal measures against the internal and external enemy in Czechoslovakia.
  • The role and responsibility of political, security and other government bodies.
  • Political processes and contemporary public opinion.
  • Selected political processes.
  • Thoughts on the political processes in Czechoslovakia.
