- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to prepare future science teachers to be able to motivate students to study these subjects, to protect the environment and to implement conscious environmentally friendly behavior in the context of sustainable development (cross-sectional topic Environmental education at primary school). Another goal is to develop students' competencies to present and communicate their work and also to strengthen the competencies needed for the future teaching profession. For these reasons, practical tasks are included in the seminars and with emphasis on the relationship of the subject matter to practice, nature, technical applications, etc.
- Learning outcomes
- Knowledge: A comprehensive overview of knowledge about environmental issues with emphasis on the relationship of the subject to practice, nature, technical applications etc. Skills: Be able to motivate students to study science subjects and to protect the environment, identify environmental issues and recognize their interrelationships, suggest possible solutions to environmental problems and be able to use them in practice. Furthermore, to present their work, communicate and lead a discussion on a selected topic. Attitudes: To develop a student's respectful relationship towards the environment. The student should learn to consider the environmental impact of their actions in decision-making in everyday life.
