Předmět si zapisuje student, který bude psát diplomovou práci na katedře fyziky, chemie a odborného vzdělávání. Typicky ve druhém semestru magisterského navazujícího studia, nebo v osmém semestru dlouhého (pětiletého) magisterského studia.

Course objectives
The course is designed as a final course encouraging students to write their thesis meeting all the requirements placed on it. Completion of this course will ensure that the student submits thesis agreed by supervisor. The student should be ready for a successful defense of thesis and aware of the requirements stated by a commission on defense.
Learning outcomes
By passing the seminar the student acquires basic knowledge, skills and habits for writing and defense of the master thesis.
Syllabus
  • The student shall keep touch with the teacher (trainer, tutor) and discuss with him the thema of the thesis. The topic of the thesis can be selected by prior agreement with the supervisor or suggested in the package Diploma thesis - Physics, Chemistry or Vocational education.
  • It is assumed that at the end of the course:
  • student has chosen topic
  • student has prepared a time schedule
  • student submitted the project to DT

Teaching methods
Individual consultations during the work on thesis.
Assessment methods
Credit is awarded for meeting all of the following points:
1) Submission of the diploma thesis project. The project includes a research part of the diploma thesis in the range of at least 10 standard pages, 20 titles of duly cited professional sources and meeting the relevant Standards of KFCHO final theses. The student documents the inspection with the IS MU tool for plagiarism (up to 5% agreement).
2) Filling in the appropriate tool (eg ROPOT in IS MU), where the student states: The title of the diploma thesis, the annotation of the diploma thesis, the supervisor of the diploma thesis, and whether it is already agreed with the supervisor of the diploma thesis.
3) Successful completion of the ROPOT related to the Interactive Curriculum "Online Module - Final Thesis"
