Prerequisites
French knowledge. The course is primarily intended for students of the follow-up master's degree program, but it will also be a suitable supplement for students of the PhD.

Course objectives
The course is open to all those interested in linking cultural issues with foreign language teaching, who will be able to understand the language of instruction and decide to take a course in a foreign language other than English. Students will be introduced to several issues related to cultural issues as a necessary part of foreign language teaching.
Learning outcomes
The lecture series with the subsequent analysis of the chosen cultural problem and its relation to the teaching of CU will be a suitable complement to the field didactics of follow-up Master's programs at foreign language departments at the pedagogical and philosophical faculties and will enable students to reflect not only on the differences and richness of the language studied culture, but also on questions associated with their own cultural identity.
Syllabus
  • The topics will include: updating the importance of the cultural aspect in CJ didactics, the presence of cultural issues in the course of changes in teaching methods, comparing the French-speaking and Anglo-Saxon view of culture in CJ, the impact of globalization on cultural issues posed by students in learning CJ, cultural issues in textbooks methods.

Active participation in the lecture and e-learning (70 %), creation of seminar paper (analysis of selected cultural phenomenon in FLE teaching), mutual evaluation of students (via IS).
