Course objectives
The aim of the lecture is to give an overview of the history on the territory of France from colonization to the present. The seminar, which follows the lecture, gives basic information about French history and try to introduce broader context of important historical events. The sequence of historical events is documented by various contemporary sources, examples of the visual arts, literature, etc. Students learn French historical terminology.
