Course objectives
The course presupposes the initial level of B2 receptive skills and the B1 level of productive skills. On the basis of the textbook Advanced course of French (lesson 1-7) the language knowledge is unified and strengthened. The grammatical and lexical structures are drilled in various communicative situations by means of supplementary exercises biased at the development of receptive and productive skills and at oral interaction. At the end of each lesson there is test. At the end of this course, students should be able to: understand extended speech and lectures, articles and reports concerned with contemporary problems provided that topic is reasonably familiar, interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity, take an active part in discussion in familiar contexts while accounting for, and sustaining, their views, write an essay or report, passing on information or giving reasons in support of, or against, a particular point of view.
