- The course develops awareness of the democratic approach to language and shows how corpus tools can be used effectively in professional language teaching.
- Learning outcomes
- The person who has completed this course:
- can locate and access relevant language portals and have access to them
- can describe the advantages of corpus tools compared to web search (common search engines) and AI
- knows the basics of using the InterCorp multilingual corpus
- can search effectively using CQL
- can interpret query results
- can explain the difference between search results in a regular dictionary, in treq and in a parallel corpus
- can develop short inductive and deductive exercises for a class.
