Course objectives
The objective of the course is to acquaint students with current topics of music education in primary and secondary schools, research projects that are currently being conducted by the Department of Music in cooperation with students of the doctoral study program Music Theory and Pedagogy.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student will be able to: - be generally familiar with current events in the field of music education - identify current problems of contemporary music education - analyze current scientific knowledge related to music education

  • The syllabus of the course is based on the topics of dissertations of doctoral students and the current research focus of Department of Music at the Faculty of Education of Masaryk University.

  • K Teaching singing at basic art schools
  • Czech cantors focusing on the work of Jiří Ignác Linek
  • Folk song in the context of the development of Czech music pedagogy
