Course objectives
The main output of the course is a general orientation in film music with an emphasis on the diversity of aspects of its creation and reception in order to form analytical skills and critical thinking.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course, students can understand the history of film music, its musical characteristics, and functions within an audiovisual work as well as psychological, aesthetic, semantic, and educational aspects.

Lecture. Listening to music. Film analysis. Class discussion.
Assessment methods
The student meets the requirements for successful completion of the course on the basis of continuous study of obligatory and recommended literature (according to the topic units) and successful completion of three on-line tests that follow the discussed topics, with a success rate of at least 75 % per each.
