Course objectives
At the end of the course students should be able to deal with the following disciplines: Fundamentals of conducting technique, choir leading. Types of choirs, the concert choir position, organization of rehearsal, a long-term dramaturgic plan. Principles of scores study for children, women, men and mixed choir. A capella choirs and choirs with accompaniment. Terms: begin, conclusions, division, refracted, the beginning of the time beat that is not in the diagram, „Auftakt“ - upbeat, dynamics.
Syllabus
  • Czech choir composers of 20th century. Characteristic works, vocal and instrumental compositions for children. Choral tone and intonation, articulation of consonants and vocals, timbre balance. Czech choirmasters and conductors of the 20th century. Artistic growth singing societies, the international success of teaching and other bodies Czech corps. Choral songs with accompaniment. Conducting schemes of composed bars. The world-class conductors, the best professional and amateur choirs.
