Course objectives
Students will be able to transcribe basic words and phrases, to read from transcription and pronounce sounds in a native-like way. Students are also trained to transcribe heard and seen text (i.e., transcription from a written text as well as dictation), and to enhance their ability to transfer our classroom materials to the primary school environment. Learning how "to practise self-study" is a crucial part of this course. Throughout the semester students are encouraged to link theory in the classroom to practice at schools via practical tasks.
