Prerequisites
The prerequisite for the subject is managing of mathematical disciplines, particularly arithmetics and algebra. Students should have competences from the course of general didactics.

Course objectives
The aim of the course is that students is able to transformate the teoretic mathematical knowledge into subject matter of secondary school. Student will understand the methods and forms in mathematical education, natural numbers, rational numbers, numerals, basic operations.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course student will know: The problematic of the transfer between primary and lower secondary school. Aims of the education at the lower secondary school. The Frame educational program. Educational processes, methods and forms of work in mathematics. Student will understand the methods and forms in mathematical education, natural numbers, rational numbers, numerals, basic operations. Students should be also able to transformate the teoretical didactical knowledge into subject matter of lower secondary school.
Syllabus
  • Didactics of mathematics and its place in the system of sciences. The issue of transition between the 1st and 2nd degree of elementary school. The aims of teaching mathematics in the second degree of elementary schools. Framework educational program. Educational processes, methods and forms of work in teaching mathematics, organization of the teaching process, including material and technical means. Diagnosis, evaluation and marking in mathematics. Cognitive process of pupils. Natural, whole, rational numbers. Percents, consequential topics.
