Course objectives
At the end of the course students should be able to understand and explain proof problems (direct and indirect proof, mathematical induction, existence and uniqueness), solving of algebraic equations and inequalities, selected geometrical problems, etc.
Syllabus
  • The following topics are mainly discussed: proof problems (direct and indirect proof, mathematical induction, existence and uniqueness), solving of algebraic equations and inequalities, selected geometrical problems, and other problems of similar type, e.g., like those in mathematical olympiads.
