Course objectives
Fundamentals of set theory: review of the theory, examples and exercises. At the end of this course, students should be able to: illustrate the theory by many suitable examples (including showing relations with other parts of mathematics); solve simple problems of the set theory, in particular with systems of sets, well ordered sets, cardinals, and ordinals.

  • Fundamentals of set theory: review of the theory, examples and exercises -- operations on systems of sets, review of relations and mappings, axiom of choice and equivalent statements, well ordered sets and arithmetics, cardinals and arithmetics, ordinals and arithmetics
