Course objectives
Course objectives: Upon successful completion of this course the student: controls the basic terminology related to the field of speech therapy (language, speech); knows the child's developmental stages of speech; will acquire knowledge about impaired communication ability in child of preschool age; will acquaint with the possibilities of development of communication competences; is familiar with the system of speech intervention for children with impaired communication ability.
Learning outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course student: Controls basic terminology related to speech therapy (language, speech); knows the development stages of the child's speech; They learn about the communication skills of children in pre-school age; they will become acquainted with the possibilities of developing their communication competencies; is oriented in the system of providing speech therapy to children with impaired communication ability.

  • Language, speech, tongue; ontogenesis of speech, stages of speech development; impaired communication ability - object of the speech therapy; category of the impaired communication ability; impaired communication ability of children in preschool age; organization of the speech therapy intervention; development of communicative competence of child in preschool age.
