• Jako hlavní cíl si tento předmět klade rozvoj komunikativní a interkulturní kompetence. Kromě rozvoje receptivních a produktivních řečových dovedností jsou posluchači seznamováni s významnými historickými a současnými, společenskými a kulturními mezníky německy mluvících regionù s přihlédnutím k jejich relevantnosti pro ranou výuku cizích jazykù. Témata vychází ze základní literatury a aktuálního společensko-polititického dění.
