Course objectives
In the course knowledge about differences and similarities between the German-speaking countries and the Czech Republic in the sociological and culturological conception can be deepened. This structured knowledge base is an important prerequisite for successful intercultural communication, which is support and developed in the course. At the and of the course the students should be able to understand and explain the possible causes of intercultural misunderstanding.

  • Intercultural competence - Definition; The main principles of inter-cultural approach; Stereotypes; Prejudices; The stranger - the Treasury; Cultural norms, values, attitudes; Multikulterelle society.
