Course objectives
The main goal of the course is to teach the students the goals of European and Czech language and language education policy in the European and Czech context, to expand their language teaching knowledge and to develop their didactic competence.
Learning outcomes
The student is able: a) to describe language policies and rules related to education, identify the principles of modern foreign language teaching and analyze curricular documents; b) to put the theoretical knowledge of language teaching methods into practice; c) to plan and prepare lessons; d) to take the principles of individualization and differentiation into account when planning lessons; e) to think about your own lessons and to develop self-reflection.

  • 1. European and Czech language politics, Common European Framework of Reference 2. Language curriculum, educational framework programs 3. Principles of modern foreign language teaching, intercultural aspects 4. Preparation of a lesson unit 5. Classroom formats (learning in stops, cooperating learning) 6. Partical competences: a) phonics and spelling b) grammar c) vocabulary 7. individuation and differentiation
