Course objectives
The goal of the course is to exercise mediation as one of the key competences for the communication in foreign language. The course extends the practical language classes in master studies and is the first stage of the traditional translating.
Learning outcomes
The students are at the end of the course able to produce spoken as well as written forms of mediation like summary, paraphrase or explain at the C1 level. The students will have the opportunity to exercise all mentioned types in interlingual (German-Czech, Czech-German) as well as intralingual (German-German, Czech-Czech) way.

  • Mediation- introduction, terms definitions written notes to texts or audio, video (interlingual, intralingual) oral and written summary of an academic text (interlingual, intralingual) oral and written paraphrase of an academic text (interlingual, intralingual)
