Course objectives
At the end of the course, students will be able to: - understand shorter German fiction of the last two decades and gauge the common or different features of the texts, - analyse short fiction in a more professional manner, - make deductions about underlying cultural tendencies as reflected in the texts, - give arguments for their own interpretation of the texts and react reasonably on other arguments.

To pass the course, it is demanded to read all the texts included in the reader, to appear in classes regularly and to conduct one of them (based on a thorough research on text and author).
