Course objectives
At the end of the course students should be able to: interpret the questions of the relationship of the people and the geographical enviros; make clear the conditionality of the people on the social and natural aspects of the landscape.
Syllabus
  • 1. Methods of statistical processing of geospatial information and its graphical interpretation. 2. Man and his position within the landscape sphere. 3. Global, regional and local dimension of the life of human society. 4. Geographical aspects of human development. 5. Sustainability of the current pace of consumer growth. 6. Food self-sufficiency. 7. Raw materials and energy as a prerequisite for economic growth and living standards. 8. Health and demographic characteristics. 9. Population's education and school infrastructure. 10. Unemployment and negative social phenomena. 11. Migrating internal and external. 12. Natural movement of population in the Czech Republic and across continents.
