Course objectives
The main attention of the course is focused on improving speaking and writing skills of students in terms of vocabulary and grammar. An integral part of teaching is also a confrontation grammatical and stylistic phenomena of Russian and Czech.
Learning outcomes
At the end of this course the student will be able to converse on topics discussed; to express their views with using a new vocabulary; to apply grammatical and stylistic knowledge of the Russian language in   written and verbal communication.
Syllabus
  • 1. The family and interpersonal relationships. Structure with transgressives, their translation into Czech language.
  • 2. Young families today. Verbal prepositional phrases, differences in the use of Czech language in comparison.
  • 3. Job nowadays. The passive verbs.
  • 4. Occupation. Job market. Passive, structure with participles.
  • 5. The current society and its problems. Abbreviations. Coordination with the adjective and verb, translation into Czech.
  • 6. Summary and revision of grammatical material.
