Course objectives
The aim of the course is to provide a comprehensive overview of the changes in Russian with a focus on phonetic, grammatical and lexical structure. In addition, attention will also be paid to comparative aspects of the Russian and Czech languages. Another aim of the course is to reflect on the work of selected Russian writers.
Learning outcomes
At the end of this course student will be able:
- to describe important aspect of Russian language (phonetics, morphology, syntax, lexicology),
- to analyze grammatical phenomena and fonetic structures of contemporary Russian,
- to describe the works of selected Russian writers.
Syllabus
  • 1. Russian vowels and consonants: differences between Russian and Czech.
  • 2. Selected chapters of Russian-Czech interference at the morphological level.
  • 3. Selected chapters of Russian-Czech interference at the syntactic level.
  • 4. Basic differences at the lexical level (Russian-Czech aspect).
  • 5. Work of selected Russian writers.
