Course objectives
The goal of the course is to develop communication skills, to deepen knowledge of Russian language on the lexical and grammatical aspects. At the end of this course students will be able to discuss the conversational topics; to express their views with using a new vocabulary; to apply grammatical and stylistic knowledge of the Russian language in written and verbal communication.

Teaching methods
Seminar, class discussion, homework, group projects, reading and listening.
Assessment methods
Exam is composed of written and oral parts. Final written test examines all student´s knowledge of Russian grammar and practical language. The oral exam contains the discussion with the teacher, the reading (Russian book – 350 p., the student will bring and show the book), and the listening (video, DVD). The student will also bring a vocabulary exercise book, which will contain at least fifty new words.
