After this course, student should be able to: Interpret connections between ontogeny period and ilnesses typical for this age Interpret health, disease or illness – etiology, prevention, symptoms Interpret acute conditions endangering health Provide first-aid Give reasons for child injury specificity
Syllabus
  • 1. Health care system in Czech republic 2. Differential health care, urgent care. Integrated rescue system 3. Health, disease or illness – aetiology, prevention, symptoms (objective, subjective) 4. Cardiopulmocerebral resuscitation 5. Acute conditions – apopsychia, shock, convulsions, burst of allergy, anaphylactic shock, bleeding, electric shock, burn injury, overheating, under cooling, acid burn, corporeal injury, being drowning, choke, poison, injury caused by animal 6. Child injury specificity 7. Civilization diseases 8. Civilization diseases and children - causes, prevention and therapy 9. Infectious diseases 10. Drugs and alcohol abuse, health risks, poisoning – first-aid 11. Medicine-chest
