Course objectives
School pedagogy is an integrated subject, which includes a selection of problems, traditionally included in general didactics and pedagogy and which also interferes with the areas of pedagogical, social and personal psychology. It offers students rather situation-oriented theory, which is straightforwardly applicable in the practice of a primary school teacher, with a adequate pedagogical, psychological and philosophical context, in order to develop students’ motivation towards their future profession and their activity in self studying. At the end of this course, students should be able to: understand the theory focused on situation and be able to explain on examples the possibilities of its application; characterize aims, content and means of education (moral, aesthetic, etc); characterize class teacher educational activity; compare chosen classical and modern educational systems; analyze (work up an abstact) 1 or 2 pedagogical work of recommended literature; evaluate a level of education in a class according to the agreed criterias; give reasons for a choice of corrective measures in simulated situations.
