Course objectives
The subject introduces to problematics of social pathology specialization and chosen social pathology problems in educational practise.
At the end of the course, the students will be able:
- understand and explain the standards formation of the society, functionality of the system of the social checks;
- define and outline particular pathological features;
- they should be able to build us a strategy of a help for someone in difficult life situations;
- they should be very much aware of the primary preventions principles and they should be able to compose a programme like that.
Syllabus
  • Syllabus of the subject is the same as areas for final examination:
  • 1. Norm and order in society. Theory of social deviations, definition of social pathology. Social control.
  • 2. Absenteeism
  • 3. Agression and bullying.
  • 4. Criminality and delinquention.
  • 5. Drugs as an actual thread.
  • 6. Pedagogue and his competentions in the area of social pathologies.
  • 7. Status and tasks of pedagogical educational institutions in prevention and atonement of social pathological phenomeons.

Teaching methods: seminar.
Assessment methods
The subject has got the form of a seminar and is finished by an exam in the form of a colloquy.
To qualify for the colloquy, the students must finish all the continuous assessment tasks – project prevention intervention programm; prepare a team presentation on the topic and take an active participation in the seminars.
