Course objectives
The aim of the course is to familiarize with the educational conditions for students with SEN abroad. Through project activities, study stay and cooperation in international environment students get aquainted with the special education teaching practice abroad and enhance their skills and competences in team cooperation on international level. The course Education for All - Practicle Experiences in primarilyaimed to cooperation with foreign partner university students during their study stay at our university. The aim of this course is to provide partner university students general information about Czech educational system and accompany them to selected school during their short study stay. Czech student will become a tutor for partner university student.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course the student will be able to:Properly characterize the essential features of the Czech educational system and present them in a foreign language; Describe the conditions of education of pupils in common/specialized institution and describe examples of effective support in education of children with SEN in the Czech Republic; Work efficiently with the students of the partner University; To convey information from the Czech educational environment during tutoring foreign student in selected school.
Syllabus
  • Basic characteristics of the educational system in the Czech Republic. Characteristics of the educational conditions for students with special educational needs (fundamental streategies, educational institutions). The teacher assistant activities/tutoring during study stay of foreign students in selected Czech elementary schools.

Teaching methods
Interactive seminar for the introduction to educational system of the Czech republic. Preparation and presentation of the conditions for education of individuals with special educational needs in the Czech educational system (and abroad) in English. Tutoring for foreign students during their study stay in the selected Czech schools.
Assessment methods
Activite student participation at the interactive seminar (20 %). Preparation and presentation of the conditions for education of individuals with special educational needs in the Czech educational system (and abroad) in English (20 %). Cooperation in the international team (10 %). Tutoring for foreign students in czech schools (50 %).
