Course objectives
At the end of the course, the student will know the issue of providing speech and hearing impairment intervention to adults and seniors; principles of transformation of communication abilities in the process of development and aging of the organism.
Learning outcomes
• orientation in the possibilities of speech and hearing impairment intervention in adult and senior age;
• ability to perceive the specifics of work with adult and senior;
• orientation in therapeutic approaches.
Syllabus
  • communication ability in   the context of development and ageing of the organism;
  • the objectives of speech therapy and surdopedic intervention in adulthood and  senior age;
  • specifics of speech therapy and surdopedic intervention in  adult age and u seniors; use of therapeutic material in speech therapy and surdopedic intervention u adults and seniors;
  • providing speech therapy and surdopedic interventions in the health sector;  labour and social affairs;
  • social services; social services providing speech therapy and surdopedic intervention;
  • educational, educational and activation activities; the role of the family and communication partners. diseases occurring in adult and elderly with  impact on speech, language, cognitive impairment, swallowing and voice disorders voice disorders u adults – anatomy and physiology, terminology, etiology, diagnostics, therapy, practical training swallowing disorders – anatomy and physiology, terminology, etiology, diagnostics, therapy, practical training functional (psychogenic) communication disorders cognitive disorders – terminology, classification, risk factors, basic diagnostic methods
