Course objectives
The aim of the course is to strengthen the communication skills and competencies of students of special education using the professional terminology of special pedagogy; increasing the students' ability to work with foreign language professional texts and research.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student: - Will have acquired knowledge about the study programme in question abroad; - Will have enhanced his/her abilities to engage in a professional communication in a foreign language; - Is able to better understand the development of the field of study in international context; - Is able to study from resources in a foreign language and communicate in an international environment
Syllabus
  • The students can choose from the listed activities:
  • C1. completion of a course in special pedagogy (not a language course), which is offered as an optional foreign language subject in   a foreign (world) language. The course code begins with SP like other subjects in the program special pedagogy, and speech therapy. Seznam předmětů je zveřejňován na webu KSIP.
  • Completion of a study stay abroad (e.g. in the frame of the Erasmus+ programme) with minimum length of 2 months;
  • Completion of a work stay abroad (e.g. in the frame of the Erasmus+ programme) with minimum length of 1 month;
  • Completion of an international summer school abroad thematically linked to the field of study with minimum length of 2 weeks;
  • Submission of final thesis in English or German;
  • Active presentation in a foreign language at a scientific conference or professional seminar (e.g. a student scientific conference)

The course is taught each semester.
Teacher's information
It is the duty of each student to complete this course once during their studies. The course is offered in every term. Thus, the student aply only in the term, when he intends to perform any of the selected activities. To enter the credit, the student sends the course guarantor a copy of the evaluation of the completed course in a foreign language.
