Course objectives
The aim of the specialization in the education of children with emotional and behavioural disorders (EBD) is competent knowledge of the special education process of children at risk or with emotional and behavioural disorders (EBD), basic orientation in the child's situation, educational needs and the possibilities of solutions. Students will be oriented in the counselling system and residential educational facilities. The course emphasizes the active participation of students during the course, individual preparation (reading texts and writing their reflections), and developing the ability to look at behavioural issues critically and creatively - independently and in collaboration with colleagues.
Learning outcomes
Upon successfully completing the course, students will have a basic knowledge of the context of emotional and behavioural disorders (EBD), risk and protective factors influencing the development of EBD, their manifestations and forms, and the educational needs of children at risk of behavioural disorders. They will be oriented in the counselling services and educational facilities system.
