Course objectives
Learning outcomes of the course unit The aim of the subject is to acquaint students with the knowledge of etiology, classification, diagnostics and therapy of individual forms of impaired communication skills, with problems of logopedic intervention; He / she will focus on the methods, techniques and strategies of speech therapy; Principles of logopedic therapy, forms of speech therapy for individual types of impaired communication ability.
Learning outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will focus on etiology and symptomatology of individual types of impaired communication ability. He / she will be able to explain the basic principles of speech therapy intervention in people with impaired communication ability. It will be able to clarify the basic principles of interdisciplinary cooperation in speech therapy.
Syllabus
  • in relation to the topics discussed in the previous Speech Therapy Specialization, we will choose from the following topics: Aphasia - aetiology, classification, diagnosis, complex support for people with aphasia. Dysarthria - developmental, acquired. Etiology, classification, diagnosis, symptomatology, principles of speech therapy. intervention. Dysphagia in children and adults Voice disorders - etiology, symptoms, voice hygiene in childhood and adults. Symptomatic speech and language disorders in persons with intellectual disabilities. Speech therapy intervention in children with intellectual disabilities. Symptomatic speech disorders in children with physical disabilities and specifics of speech therapy intervention in children with severe visual impairment. Symptomatic speech disorders in children with autism spectrum disorders Alternative and augmentative communication - definition of the term, classification of systems, process of selecting a communication system.
