Course objectives
The aim of this course is to introduce students with problems of special diagnostics of pupils with special educational needs.
Learning outcomes
Outcomes:at the end of the course students should be able to understand and explain the basic information of the diagnostic, make deductions based on acquired knowledge of the diagnostic methods.
Syllabus
  • 1. The concept, definition and diagnosis of the subject in special needs education. 2. The basic categories of diagnostic approaches. 3. Specifical educational diagnosis at an early age. 4. Diagnosis at preschool age. 5. Diagnosis of maturity and readiness for the beginning of compulsory schooling. 6. Spec. educational diagnosis in the school-age. 7. Diagnostics of the family. 8. Professional orientation assessment. 9. Main tasks during adulthood. 10. Diagnostics in the senior age. 11. Classification of diagnostic methods. 12. Characteristics of clinical methods. 13. Special methods. 14. The main areas of diagnostics. 15. Diagnostics of various types of disability during childhood. 16. Specific assessment process at an early age.
