Course objectives
Main objectives can be summarized as follows: Anatomy of nervous system, neuron and reflexive activity, motor, sensitive ans peripheral nerve and vegetative autonomous system, brain nerves, reticular formation of cerebral stem, cerebral cortex, functional asymmetry of cerebral hemispheres, symbolic functions, consciousness and sleep, infantile cerebral palsy, mini cerebral dysfunctions, epileptic syndromes, headaches, infantile neurosis, head and spinal injuries.
Learning outcomes
• The student knows the basic concepts of neurology for the needs of special educators;
• can apply the acquired knowledge in educating a pupil with special educational needs.
Syllabus
  • Anatomy of nervous system, neuron and reflexive activity, motor, sensitive ans peripheral nerve and vegetative autonomous system, brain nerves, reticular formation of cerebral stem, cerebral cortex, functional asymmetry of cerebral hemispheres, symbolic functions, consciousness and sleep, infantile cerebral palsy, mini cerebral dysfunctions, epileptic syndromes, headaches, infantile neurosis, head and spinal injuries.
