Course objectives
The student will know the problematics of the speech therapy; of the communication process and the speech development. The student will learn more about the etiology, symptomatolgy, classification, diagnostic and therapeutical process of the communication disabilities.

Syllabus
  • Conception, classification, symptomatology, diagnostics and therapy of various forms of communication disorder. Possibilities of education of children and pupils with impaired communication skills, legislation. Counseling system - activity of counseling facilities, legislation. Special pedagogical diagnostics of speech therapy - methods and procedures, interdisciplinary cooperation.

Teaching methods
consultation, homework, class discussion, the course is supplemented of the examples of work with software and materials for the stimulation of the communication ability
Assessment methods
70% compulsory attendance; final written test (contains it is necessary to successfully cope with 75 % correct answers); oral exam, reflexion of semestral paper (assignment of semestral paper will be specified at the first meeting)
