Course objectives
Learning outcomes of the course unit is to acquaint students with the provision of communication systems suitable for people with hearing impairment and suitability of their use according to type and degree of hearing defect and according to the individual needs of the individual. The student will be acquainted with the basic rules for communication with the deaf people using different communication systems, in a situation where an interpreter is used. Student will be acquainted with problems of reception and production of written language in the deaf, reading and using visual-motor communication systems in education. Furthermore, the possibilities and specifics of intercultural and intercultural communication of individuals with deaf people will be presented.
Learning outcomes
-knowledge of available communication systems for deaf people; -the ability to use selected communication systems in practice; -orientation in difficulties in reception and production of Czech language among the deaf and the ability to justify these difficulties; - orientation in the offer of interpreting services for people with hearing impairment.

Czech language in communication of the deaf - reception and production of written language in the deaf, possibility of editing text for the hearing impaired reader 5. Visualization of spoken speech, types and degrees of lip-reading 6. Visual-motor communication systems 7. Czech sign Language - theoretical foundations 8. Bilingualism and biculturalism of the Deaf 9. Interpreting services for hearing impaired persons 10. Intercultural and intercultural communication in individuals with hearing impairment
