Course objectives
Learning outcomes of the course unit The aim of the subject is to acquaint students with the knowledge of etiology, classification, diagnostics and therapy of individual forms of impaired communication skills, with problems of logopedic intervention; He / she will focus on the methods, techniques and strategies of speech therapy; Principles of logopedic therapy, forms of speech therapy for individual types of impaired communication ability.
Learning outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will focus on etiology and symptomatology of individual types of impaired communication ability. He / she will be able to explain the basic principles of speech therapy intervention in people with impaired communication ability. It will be able to clarify the basic principles of interdisciplinary cooperation in speech therapy.
Syllabus
  • Impaired speech development - delimitation, category of speech disruptions; Possibilities of stimulating speech development. Specifically impaired speech development - etiology, symptoms, intervention in children and pupils with developmental dysphasia, delayed speech development - causes of delay in speech development, speech therapy methodology in children with delayed speech development, speech and speech disorders - balbuties, tumultus sermonis; Current views on etiology of stomach, symptomatology, classification; Logopedic intervention provided to individuals with stuttering; Tumultus sermonis - etiology, symptomatology, speech therapy intervention; Speech sound disorders - flutter, palatolal; Comprehensive care provided to individuals with palatolal; Orofacial clefts - etiology, classification. Interdisciplinary care for individuals with orofacial clefts; Neurotic and psychotic speech disorders - etiology, symptomatology, methods of intervention; Dysarthria - development, acquired. Etiology, classification; Speech therapy provided to individuals with dysarthria as part of complex care; Dysphagia - etiology, symptoms, therapies; Aphasia - etiology, symptomatology, classification. Caring for a person suffering from aphasia; Voice disorders - etiology, symptoms, classification. Voice hygiene; Symptomatic speech disorders - definition, characteristics, etiology. SPD in individuals with mental disabilities, speech therapy in people with intellectual disabilities; SPD in individuals with physical disabilities, logopedic intervention; SPD in individuals with severe visual impairment, specifics of logopedic intervention in children with severe visual impairment and blind people; Current RHB and physiotherapeutic methods and concepts used in logopedic practice; Speech of individuals with SPU, specific logopedic finding; Representation of communication in the Framework Educational Program for Preschool Education.
