Course objectives
The subject in theoretical level introduces to problematics of education and teaching of individuals that demand a special care.
At the end of the course, the students will be able:
Define the position of social pedagogy in the pedagogical sciences and all their supporting fields.
Define the basic focuses of interest and the possibilities of an individual approach with special needs.
Understand the difficulties of particular handicaps and possibilities to educate the individuals suffering from the handicap.

  • 2. Summary of evolution history of SP.
  • 3. Clasification, terminology.
  • 4. Socialisation, integration/inclusion.
  • 5. Special-pedagogical diagnostic. Methodes of special pedagogic.
  • 6. Pedagogic-psychological advising system.
  • 7. Learning disabilities.
  • 8. Psychopaedic. Mental retardation.
  • 9. Somatopaedic. Body handicaps.
  • 10. Etopaedic. Lesions of behaving and emotions.
  • 11. Logopaedic. Handicaps of speech and communication.
  • 12. Surdopaedic. Hearing handicaps.
  • 13. Oftalmopaedic. Visual handicaps.
  • 14. Combinated malfunctions and handicaps.
  • 15. Autism.
  • 16. Alternative and augmentative communication.
  • 17. New therapeutical conceptions in work with handicaped individuals.
  • 18. School by health care institutions, game theraphy. Vouluntarism in hospitals.
  • 19. Leisure in life of handicaped individuum.
  • 20. Social pedagogue, pedagogue of leisure time in special – pedagogical institution.
