Course objectives
The course builds on the knowledge and experience of students acquired in the course of their school studies. pedagogy, general didactics and didactics of health education 1. The course responds to new knowledge in the field of (health education) and pedagogical, psychological, and and didactic research on school teaching and learning. The mission of the course is to initiate, promote and develop the professional vision, knowledge and action of future health education teachers. The course is built from: 1. curricular documents and health education, 2. specifics of didactics 3. didactic transformation of the curriculum.
Learning outcomes
Upon completion of the course, learners will:
- applies knowledge from general didactics and other pedagogical-psychological disciplines;
- defines specific problems of teaching health education at primary school;
- integrate health education into the education system and the RVP ZV;
- defines didactic skills of a health education teacher;
- uses activating teaching methods in health education, analyses the teaching unit;
- use basic health education terminology with understanding.

  • 1. Educational area Human and health - characteristics of the educational area (1 hour)
  • 2. Expected outcomes and content of health education education in  RVP ZV, Standards ZV - VkZ, Methodological comments to the Standards of ZV - VkZ. (1 hour)
  • Revision of curriculum documents (1 hour).
  • 4. Textbooks in health education. (1 hour)
  • 5. School curriculum. (1 hour)
  • 6. Cross-curricular links vertical and horizontal. (1 hour)
  • 7. Personality of the teacher. Didactic skills of the health education teacher. (1 hour)
  • 8. Analysis of the initial state and needs of the school. (1 hour)
  • 9. Health education lesson planning (1 hour).
  • 10. Educational objectives in health education. (1 hour)
  • 11. Motivation in health education. (1 hour)
  • 12. Organizational forms of health education teaching. (1 hour)
  • 13. Teaching methods in health education. (1 hour)
  • 14. Teaching aids. (1 hour)
  • 15. Diagnosis of pupils' knowledge and skills. (1 hour)
  • 16. Issues of assessment and classification of pupils in health education. (1 hour)
  • 17. Lesson observation and analysis. (1 hour).
  • 18-20. Didactic treatment of a selected topic from the framework curriculum for primary education. (2 hours)

Teaching methods
Teaching takes the form of seminars and group work.
Assessment methods
The learner didactically transforms a selected topic from the RVP ZV - VkZ into one teaching unit. Learners present the material created in a group, reflect and discuss the presented topics. The semester assignment is a part of the learner's portfolio in didactics.
