Course objectives
The course is focused on the acquisition of speech skills, on mastering additional and appropriate facial expressions, on the development of improvisational skills, on the readiness of reactions in various situations and on the use of drama education in the teaching process, leisure activities, working with groups of different ages and groups from different social backgrounds. Thus, the course also takes into account the issue of teaching students in leisure activities and other extracurricular activities. Great attention is paid to correct diction, play with words, stage games, improvisations of word and movement, in short, to improve communication skills and abilities. It is also important to create a variety of model situations to which students may be exposed both during their studies and in their future practice. Part of the course is the interpretation of various dramatic scenarios. After completing this course, the student should be able to act immediately in their new work environment, to comment on various topics and problems in both anticipated and unexpected situations. Part of the course is to understand theater as a meeting place, both with students from the Czech environment, but also with people from abroad, to exchange experiences and opinions in various thematic areas at the domestic and international level. Students will participate in the preparation of international festivals held in Brno (and elsewhere in the Czech Republic) and will also participate in international festivals abroad.
