Course objectives
At the end of this course the student should be able to understand computer technology. The theoretical knowledge of its history, hardware (HW) of the computer. Students will be able to explain the principles of PC components and the PC.
Syllabus
  • 1st A brief history of computer technology. (Getting to   origins and history of computer technology, the possibility of the use of computers ...)
  • 2nd Basic concepts used in computer technology. (Basic concepts and explanations, transfers of memory and sizes ...)
  • 3rd The basic parts of the computer. (Computer Group, the types of basic units, their differences and functions ...)
  • 4th The base unit (1). (The contents of the computer chassis, motherboard, processor, memory slots, cards ...)
  • 5th The base unit (2). (Hard disk drive CDR, DVD, FDD, power supply)
  • 6th Ports and interfaces. (Options connection to external devices PCs, connectors, parallel and serial port, USB ...)
  • 7th External computer equipment. (UPS, Monitor, an alternative imaging equipment, keyboard, mouse, ergonomics ...)
  • 8th Other pluggable devices. (Printers / laser, ink, nuts /, scanner, modem, speakers, digital cameras ...)
  • 9th Recording Media and compared. (USB drives, compact-flash cards, floppy disks, CD, DVD, ZIP ...)
  • 10th Types of computers. (Computers class PCs, laptops, handheld computers, mainframe and supercomputers, Apple ...)
  • 11th Switched on and off the computer. (Principles of switching on and off the computer, reset, restart, shut down non-PC ...)
  • 12th   Principle with the computer. (Ergonomics, how to deal with   computer, energy saving, as care of your health   ...)
