Course objectives
The subject deals with an overview of computer hardware equipment and their functions. The distribution of computers and hardware, the functions of each part of the whole. The aim is to gain basic knowledge of computers   activities, storage and data processing functions of peripheral equipment and generally the whole concept of today's personal computers from   terms of their development. Subject also includes a brief introduction to computer networks, and antivirus protection. The main objective of the course is preparing students to key areas and issues in the field IT in the final state Bachelor's test.
Syllabus
  • Outline the subject matter, interpretation and content of each hour exercise will be conducted with respect   and in order to cope with bc exam.
  • 1st The numbering system and logic functions. (bit, binary system and other systems, transfers, use, arithmetic and logic functions of the systems)
  • 2nd Development and classification of computers. (A kind of computer architecture, performance measurement)
  • 3rd Composition and computer components. (Basic components, peripherals, principles of action, the possibility of assembling PC)
  • 4th Coding and types of codes. (Viewing numbers, ASCII coding numbers, BCD, Hamming, Huffman code)
  • 5th Processors. (Principle work processor types of processors, chaining, RISC ...)
  • 6th Motherboard. (Parts of the motherboard, controllers, connectors and bus, DMA, interrupt ...)
  • 7th Memory, and address. (Memory hierarchy PC, ways of addressing memory, instructions and types of instruction in   computer access memory  )
  • 8th Data storage (Hard drives, optical media, ways of recording, interface, a natural and logical structure)
  • 9th Peripheral Devices. (Types of devices division, principles, printers, monitors, computer input devices)
  • 10th Bus. (Internal and external bus, IDE, SCSI, SATA, USB system bus, the management transfer)
  • 11th Computer network. (Types and division of computer networks, the importance of networking, network hardware and software, network settings)
  • 12th Virus protection software. (Viruses, PC and network security, firewall, antivirus, spyware ...)
