Course objectives
Getting familiar with the basics of research in humanities and in the arts and the "art based research" method. Development of the methodology of the dissertation.
Learning outcomes
Students master the basics of research, they can write theoretical text in the form of a chapter or a separate article.

  • Research methodology for the dissertation, outline creation and development of the research design. Analysis of scholarly texts.

Teaching methods
Full-time tuition 2 hours a week Writing a chapter of the dissertation, getting familiar with the rules of creating a scholarly text – specialised books, chapters in a monograph and an article in a peer-reviewed journal. Presentation creation for conferences.

Analysis of the finished scholarly text, critical discussion, evaluation colloquium
