Course objectives
The subject Economics in Home and Business deals with the general foundations of household economics with a focus on future students' own households. It highlights the issue of integrating young people into independent life. Part of the course that focuses on the business sphere focuses on business fundamentals, from choosing a business, starting a small business, organizing a business to creating a good business plan.
Learning outcomes
After successful completion of the subject Economics in the Home and Business, the student will be: Have a good idea of efficient household finances;
To be able to explain basic types of savings and investment;
Have a good idea of efficient management of financial resources in the small business;
They will be able to orient themselves in the financial market;
Will be able to act economically and in line with the sustainable development strategy;
Syllabus
  • Building savings, loans, mortgages, taxes).
  • House and apartment architecture (Size and quality of the apartment, household equipment, size and usage of rooms, lighting, heating system, electrical and gas appliances, furniture, interior design, economical use of inputs).
  • Home accounting, system of management (Budget, revenues, necessary releases, savings, cash and non-cash payments, investment opportunities, insurance, planning of activities, etc.).
  • Fundamentals of Finance - Key terms such as money, interest rate, financial market and risk.
