Course objectives
This subject is an optional extension of practical teaching in bachelor studies with an overlap into special-art disciplines. The subject is focused on the development of creativity, author's dispositions and work processes with respect to the special-art practice. Special art education 1 is focused on work with individuals with mental or physical disability. Part of lectures is practical realisation of art activities with diasbled individuals.
Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to gain practical experience in using the artistic means of expression with health disadvantaged individuals. Students will learn the artistic methods and work with materials that they can practically use in the work with handicapped clients. Students will deepen their ability to self-reflect and analyse the creative process.

  • Art workshop and health disability
  • Possibilities of using artetherapeutical and artephiletic elements in the work with health disadvantaged individuals (theory, practice, terminology ...)
  • Artistic methods and materials used in work with health disadvantaged clients
  • The development of thematic areas
  • Students´ practical activity (individual and group work), reflective dialogue
