Course objectives
The aim of the seminar is to get acquainted with the basic concepts of theory and practice of art education and to explore the form of contemporary art pedagogy focused not only on schools (elementary schools, high schools, art schools), but also on alternative educational facilities (leisure centers, art therapy institutions, educational institutions in the field of special pedagogy). During the implementation of the seminar program, the issue of the relationship between art pedagogy and contemporary art and humanities (psychology, sociology, communication theory, anthropology) is continuously discussed.
Learning outcomes
The student will prepare 10 case studies of children's art works. The reflection will be supplemented by current professional literature.

  • Warp 1. Children's and student art expression, spontaneity and motivation in teaching art education 2. Methods of initiating artistic expression of children and students, psychology of artistic expression 3. Types of concepts of teaching art education and their implementation in practice 4. Personalities of Czech and world modern art pedagogy (overview) 5. Projects in art education, interdisciplinarity and intermediality 6. Alternative and therapeutic approaches to leading the artistic expression of various target groups 7. Contemporary art and art pedagogy
