Course objectives
Students acquire knowledge about current theoretical concepts in Czech and foreign art literature.
Learning outcomes
The student is familiar with the theoretical concepts of the last four decades, knows important personalities of world and Czech art theory. He knows the basic personalities from the Czech environment who put theoretical concepts into practice as curators of exhibitions.
Syllabus
  • • Fine art as a social and sociological problem • Interpretation of a work of art as an act of social communication • Creation of a catalog text as a theoretical concept of the exhibition • Personalities of contemporary theory with social overlaps (Slavoj Žižek etc.) • Current exhibitions and the formation of theoretical concepts in art
